Materials: bonded copper and neon.

We were commissioned to create a piece to commemorate Walter Johnson. Using photos from 1915, we sculpted Walter Johnson’s likeness in bonded copper. For his famous pitch, we used sequenced neon to show a baseball morphing into a locomotive. Each image in the sequence is brighter than the one before to enhance the sence of motion.
