Presenting
firehouse Engine Co. No. 7, a truly unique and historic property for
your special event
needs. A stunning Victorian firehouse built in 1885, it was one of the
Districtâs first black-operated fire companies. Presently the home
and studio of neon light sculptor, Craig Kraft, the building serves
as his art
studio downstairs and a magnificent living and entertaining space
above.
The building has over 5000 square feet of floor space,
modern kitchen with industrial Wolf stove, exposed brick, dramatic
architectural lighting, the original brass firepole, and impressive views
of downtown Washington from the roof deck. The highlight is the old bunk
room with 900 square feet of floor space, 18 foot ceilings and 13 foot
Victorian style windows.
On and off street parking are available.
