A Unique Venue for Your Next Special Event

Presenting firehouse Engine Co. No. 7, a truly unique and historic property for your special event needs. A stunning Victorian firehouse built in 1885, it was one of the Districtâs first black-operated fire companies. Presently the home and studio of neon light sculptor, Craig Kraft, the building serves as his art studio downstairs and a magnificent living and entertaining space above.

The building has over 5000 square feet of floor space, modern kitchen with industrial Wolf stove, exposed brick, dramatic architectural lighting, the original brass firepole, and impressive views of downtown Washington from the roof deck. The highlight is the old bunk room with 900 square feet of floor space, 18 foot ceilings and 13 foot Victorian style windows.

On and off street parking are available. We have a list of suggested businesses for catering, rentals, valet, and security.
